The X Series is positioned for short-line skiers who want a rope that responds right out of the box without a long break-in period. Despite being stiffer than earlier S-Lines ropes, the X Series carries a touch of forgiveness compared to previous generations — useful through the gate where pure-stiffness ropes can shock the rider.
